Games In Heaven
It was such a special day in our pet community.
Cats and dogs and others were about to make history.
They were having their 1st marathon which would begin noon.
When it is all finished they will dance under a silvery moon.
There is going to be a chariot run. The Persian cat is in the race.
Every furry one will meow and bark when the Angel says "Take your place".
Who would be the next to finish?
Will it be a dog or perhaps a feisty cat?
We are winners here. You can certainly be sure of that.
The dogs were so exciting to go retrieve the frisbee.
They were indeed very practiced before becoming Heavenly.
The cats went crazy for the meadow of catnip.
I need not tell you it certainly added lots of feline zip.
The one cat chose the highest tree and in seconds it reached the top
The others got so zonked they just wanted a spot to plop.
There was a game of leap frog. They were having so much fun.
We will gather by the race track where the horses have a mile to run.
The monkey and his companion played the accordion for us
We all threw them peanuts. They enjoyed all the fuss.
The dogs said how about a game of poker tonight.
The Great Dane said "count on me"
The poodle said I would like too but I'll pass for now
I am in charge of the gala evening tea.
It was a fun filled day in our Heaven
But it's soon time to bid one another good night
We'll add this to our list of stories to share with you.
This will happen when you are beamed into our Realm of light
So my dear Master and dearest Mistress
I am glad I shared my day with you.
Life will be completely together again for both of us
When the Angels walk us through!
