You Are Missed
It rained so very hard today
This was because of my tears shed for you
I tried to stop but I just could not
Your absence made me empty and oh so blue

I had a dear friend stop by yesterday
She knew I had a heavy heart
Her comments made me see things differently
It helped ease my pain of us being apart.

She said "The rainbow today was beautiful"
Your tears were not in vain
Your furry one shared one of natures precious gifts
There is always sunshine after the rain

I felt warm and tingling all over
You made your presence known to me
The sky was so blue with whiffs of white clouds
Again I owe my thanks to you

We are just in different spheres and times
But sometime that will change for me
Until then rest well my dearest pet
I will join you when my spirit is released and free
